The Festival 2021<\/h3>\n

WORKSOP MUSIC AND DRAMA FESTIVAL: 2021 A CELEBRATION OF THE ARTS.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\nWelcome to Worksop Music and Drama Festival. Due to the current coronavirus pandemic we will sadly be unable to hold our 2021 Festival in March. It is with deep regret that we have decided to cancel the Festival but we felt we had to be mindful of the situation and the effect it is having on the use of venues and the viability of performances taking place. We also owe a duty of care to everyone involved in running the Festival, from performers and their families and teachers to Adjudicators, accompanists and all our volunteers.\n

Instead, in celebration of the arts, Worksop Music and Drama Festival have decided to celebrate your talent by inviting you to send us video entries of your performances to be used on our social media. For 20 of the performances there will be a YouTube premiere on the Worksop Music and Drama YouTube channel to be decided by a panel from the Worksop Music and Drama Festival Committee. Selected from the 20 performances, there will be a First Prize of \u00a350, a second prize of \u00a330, a third prize of \u00a315 and all other entries that are part of the selected 20 will receive \u00a35.<\/div>\n

The winners of these prizes will be announced at the end of the YouTube concert which will happen on 4th June 2021<\/strong> from 7pm.<\/div>\n

Entry is free; all we require is an entrant to send us a video of their performance, up to 5 minutes duration, with the appropriate permissions (see entry form for details<\/a>). This can be a solo, duet or ensemble piece and since we are celebrating the arts we would welcome drama performances (a poem would be lovely!). As this is a celebration and not a competition, there will be no adjudicators to provide any feedback. All you need to do is submit a video of you performing your piece, by 4th May 2021<\/strong>, and we will share it on Worksop Music and Drama\u2019s Facebook page and other social media. Then you can tell all your friends and relations where to see your performance. There are some rules to read before you enter and some technical instructions to ensure your filming goes well.<\/div>\n
